We’ve made some updates to simplify the request process. Now, EZBorrow requests can be placed through PittCat or through your Resource Sharing account (ILLiad). First-time users will be prompted to create an account (one-time setup.) Submission via these methods helps ensure faster service and fewer issues. If you ever need help placing a request, please contact ResourceSharing@library.pitt.edu

Begin your search for books by title or topic in PittCat

  1. Select the Expand to Non-Pitt Resources toggle on the left side of the screen in the grey box
  2. Go to the PittCat record for the book you're interested in
  3. Login via the yellow "sign-in" box
  4. You'll then get options to request a chapter scan or delivery of the whole book
  5. Once you select one of the above options, you'll be taken to your Resource Sharing account (ILLiad). The book information should already be filled in. If requesting a chapter, input the author and title in the appropriate fields and then send the request in.

If you place a request through PittCat using one of the links shown above or directly through your Resource Sharing account (ILLiad), then your request will be automatically checked against EZBorrow holdings.
