A journal manager can update the ORCID information for specific authors by manually copying and pasting the authors’ ORCID IDs into each author's profile in the Contributors section of the Production tab in a submission. Attached is a view of where to edit this information.

An author can update their own ORCID information by navigating to Edit Profile and clicking Public. There is a field to include an ORCID ID.

If a journal manager is interested in enabling an ORCID Plugin on OJS that will allow authors to verify their ORCID IDs at the time an article is sent to production, please reach out to POLP staff.
