Advertising is a great way to bring in revenue for your journal when our commitment to open access restricts journals from charging submission fees. POLP requires that journals follow our requirements and also reference the guidance of COPE's policy for transparency, link attached. Journals should add a static page called "Advertising" to the journal's website. They should add an advertising policy to their "About the Journal" page, detailing that advertising and sponsorships are completely separate from publishing content and editorial decisions. As always, journals must communicate with us their intent to advertise and affirm they will follow the requirements.
