I would like to borrow a DVD, blu-ray, or other media item from the Stark Media film collection. How do I go about doing so?

Select items in the Stark Media film collection are shelved at Media Services, located in G41 on Hillman's newly renovated ground floor. The rest of the collection remains accessible and requestable, but is held off-site in our temperature-controlled storage facility.
The best and most expedient way to access the collection is to search for the item you'd like to borrow using PittCat, ensure you are logged into your Pitt account, and place a request. Items will be pulled, either from their location at Hillman or at off-site storage, and once available, you will receive an email confirming the film is ready for pickup at your selected location. Please allow 24-48 hours for items to arrive on-site at Hillman or other Oakland locations.
Due to ongoing processes with our film collection, information on PittCat about the on-site availability of items will not always be accurate; even if PittCat indicates the film is "Available" at Hillman library, we recommend assuming this is not the case and requesting the item anyway, and planning accordingly to request items in advance of use for courses or research.
Any questions about these processes as well as general inquiries about the film collection can be sent to the Stark Media Services group at ULS-StarkMediaServices@pitt.edu.
