All library locations on-campus are open to the public and offer access to public workstations, scanners, and collections. We have expert staff who are available to consult with you on research questions.

sponsored Pitt computer account will provide a Pitt username and password. Sponsored account-holders have access to the EZProxy service that can be used to access library licensed electronic resources via the A-Z list of databases and PittCat (note: ignore the "sign-in" prompts within PittCat).Pro tip: accept all cookies when prompted to do so by specific databases and if barriers are encountered, try a different browser or clearing your browser history.

A Pitt sponsored account is only one component of library access, however. In addition to the sponsored account, full access to library services (including the option to request/borrow materials) are available for those individuals with a current University of Pittsburgh affiliation/employment, Pitt email, and ID number issued through Panther Central

Please Ask Us if you have any questions about library access.
