You have a couple options for requesting that we make items available on Kanopy:

  1. The Ask Us to Buy Films form. When you complete this form for a film, marking that you want a film in a streaming format, our acquisitions team looks for options on all of the ULS’s streaming platforms, of which Kanopy is just one.
  2. Kanopy’s interface. Search for a title you would like to have available for your class. If it is available on Kanopy, it will appear in your search results with a “Request Access” button. This will bring you to the request form, which will ask for your name, contact information, and information about your course or how the film will otherwise be used.

The Kanopy platform allows any users with access to the platform to request titles, but only requests for titles intended for use by classes or for graduate research purposes will be considered for approval. If a film is intended for use in a class, it must be requested by the instructor, not by students in the class.
