Pitt Libraries Account

When it is first generated, your library account will be associated with the legal name recorded for you at the Registrar’s Office.

The University Library System (ULS) recommends following the University guidelines for setting the preferred name via https://accounts.pitt.edu Doing so will ensure information is updated consistently throughout the University and in your library account. Any subsequent communications from your Library Account regarding ULS-owned materials will be addressed accordingly.

InterLibrary Loan (ILLiad) requests:

You may change the name that is printed on the ILL bands by first changing the name on your ILL account. To do this, please navigate to your ILL account, go to the “Change User Information” page, and change the information in the first and last name fields. If you are setting up the ILL account for the first time, you will be prompted to fill out this personal information, and can choose to supply the preferred first and last name at that time.

 EZBorrow requests:

The EZBorrow software does not currently provide a preferred name function at this time, but it is on the development roadmap to make preferred name an option for all EZBorrow patrons.
