Pitt IT offers a service that’s called Virtual Labs. It has all the software that can be found in the physical labs (e.g. the Office package, Adobe suite and much, more), including ArcGIS Pro. The lab can be accessed from any platform including Mac IOS. Instructions for accessing the lab are here: https://www.technology.pitt.edu/services/virtual-lab 

Note: for Macs that cannot download Windows, alternative strategies may not work for the software ArcGIS.
