Supply chain management is a set of approaches to efficiently integrate suppliers, manufacturers, warehouses, and stores so that merchandise and/or services are produced and distributed in the right quantities, to the right locations, and at the right time. This is done in order to minimize systemwide costs while satisfying service level requirements.

A guide entitled Supply Chain Resources has been created that focuses specifically on supply chain management research. It includes tips and resources on company information, industry information, websites, databases, blogs, and much more.
