There are collections of historical records related to Dixmont Hospital located at both the Archives Service Center of the University Library System and at the Detre Library and Archives of the Heinz History Center.  However, neither of these collections include patient records. 

Patient Records for Dixmont are located at the Pennsylvania State Archives in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania within Record Group 23--Department of Public Welfare Records, Office of Mental Health.  The Pennsylvania State Archives is located at 350 North Street, Harrisburg, PA 17120.
