While the ULS does offer tours and instruction to University of Pittsburgh faculty, staff and students, we unfortunately do not offer these services for non-Pitt visitors.
Our libraries are, however, open to the public and you are welcome to visit. Note that because of licensing agreements, only current Pitt affiliates are able to access the subscription electronic format resources. You'll not be able to search licensed databases that index articles.
There are materials on-site in Hillman that may be useful in research. These include print format books, magazines, and journals in open stacks; government documents; D-Scribe, our Digital Publishing Collections; and the university's online catalog PITTCat+. When you search PITTCat+ as a guest, you can search for journals by title and see if they are available on-site in print format. If that's the case, you can read these in the library or use a coin-operated photocopier.
