After much consideration, effective September 2012 the University Library System (ULS) replaced RefWorks as a citation management tool. The ULS investigated what citation management tools were used by PITT students, faculty, and staff. They also researched other powerful tools that are now available and tested several to see which might help our patrons make the most out of our resources for their research and selected Endnote and Mendeley. All RefWorks users were notified via email in advance of this change.

If you have citations to export from your RefWorks account, please contact the ULS at refworks@mail.pitt.edu. If you'd like to inquire about purchasing an individual RefWorks account, you can contact RefWorks directly at 775-327-4105.

To learn more about these citation management systems, you can schedule an instruction session or visit the EndNote and Mendeley guides created by ULS librarians.
