Children's books, including Young Adult titles, are available to Pitt faculty, students, and staff from the ULS.  Overall, there are historically significant materials, popular works, and current titles.   Some items are available on-site and others are available by request via Pittcat.

For an overview of historical children's materials, please see the Nesbitt Guide, the Nietz Old Textbook Guide, or the History of Children's Literature Guide.  You can also search PittCat for titles, authors, or subjects.  In addition to materials available from Hillman Library and Special Collections, PITT Greensburg and PITT Bradford libraries have children's literature and curriculum collections.  Learn more at Curriculum Collection--Greensburg Campus, Curriculum Resource Center--Bradford Campus

For help in locating what you need, please contact the Oakland Campus Children's Literature Librarian, Clare Withers by writing to Ask an Archivist. Clare is available to meet with you whether you are working on an assignment, independent study, proposal, or are just interested in children's literature.
