In disciplines such as psychology and education the APA Style manual is used to credit researchers for their creative and intellectual works that you use in your research.  Citing sources is crucial to helping other researchers and interested parties to locate particular sources and, of course, to combat plagiarism.

Start with our APA page on our Citation Help Guide.  Additionally, the Purdue OWL General APA FAQs offers great examples and detailed information. Take a look for in-depth help.

There are citation management tools available that will help organize your research and create citations. If you are interested in learning about EndNote or Mendeley, sign up for one of our classes.

You can also get help with citing your sources by making an appointment at the Writing Center.
