ORCID provides a unique, persistent identifier that can help make your scholarship easier to find and attribute so that you get credit for all that you do. 

An ORCID ID is being required by grant funders, publishers, and scholarly organizations of all types to help disambiguate author names and provide links to other records of scholarship.
